Lake County Small Business Relief Fund Guidelines & Application

Lake County’s Board of Commissioners has partnered with the Lake County Chamber of Commerce to create a Small Business Relief Fund, utilizing funds from Lake County’s CARES Act allotment.

Small businesses play a crucial role in each Lake County community, and this fund will provide monetary relief to help ease the burden of hardships caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Eligible small businesses may apply for up to $10,000 in grant funds, to be used for the reimbursement of eligible expenses, as defined below.

Coronavirus COVID-19 Information

To protect the public’s health and slow the rate of transmission of COVID-19, Minnesota Governor Walz has signed Executive Order 20-01, which declared a peacetime emergency in Minnesota. The order contains, “sensible steps that Minnesotans and our state government can take to protect all Minnesotans by slowing the spread of COVID-19, prioritizing our healthcare resources, and safeguarding at-risk communities.”

We at the Lake County Chamber will follow this lead and take the health and safety of our residents and travelers seriously.

As of now, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has not issued any general travel advisories or restrictions within the United States. However, people at higher risk (such as older adults and people with serious chronic medical conditions) have been advised to avoid non-essential air travel and cruise travel.

With the situation rapidly evolving, we encourage travelers to and within the state of Minnesota to seek expert guidance and take routine precautions as outlined by the CDC in order to make fact-based travel decisions.
