Most of the waterfalls found on the North Shore are within our four state parks.  From cascading falls to the highest waterfall in the state, each is awe-inspiring in its own way! 

 

Gooseberry Falls

Gooseberry Falls State Park features three waterfalls along the Gooseberry River. Appropriately named Upper, Middle, and Lower falls, the Gooseberry Falls are a hotspot for photographers to take breath-taking shots of the powerful Gooseberry River.

Split Rock Lighthouse State Park

Split Rock Lighthouse State Park has a section of trails linked with the Superior Hiking Trail which passes several waterfalls along the trail. The trail ends with a spectacular view of Lake Superior.

Tettegouche State Park

Tettegouche State Park showcases one of the highest waterfalls in Minnesota. The water is sourced from the Baptism River which also features the Two Steps Falls which is further upstream. Tettegouche State Park is a hotspot for anyone who enjoys waterfalls.
