Canoeing & Kayaking

Both canoeing and kayaking are great ways to get out on the water and exercise.  You will find many places in Lake County for you to paddle around.

If you’re looking to get out in the water in a kayak or canoe, Lake County has lots of options for where you can go to use them!

For those who own their own kayaks, Two Harbors has a great place to bring them! Located at the public boat launch for Lake Superior, Two Harbors offers a kayak launch to make getting your kayak in the water safe and easy!

If you don’t own a kayak there’s no need to worry, renting is an option! Harbor Kayak & Paddleboard Rental operates on the beach of Burlington Bay in Two Harbors and offers customers the opportunity to take kayaks and paddleboards out on Lake Superior.

Canoeing is also a viable option here in Lake County. Whether you want to take it out on Lake Superior, a smaller inland lake, or even taking a trip to the Boundary Waters, Lake County has options for you. The Boundary Waters itself boasts 1,200 miles of routes to paddle, and offers countless experiences to be had.

Lake County has no shortage of options for exploring the water on canoes and kayaks, so get out there and explore!
