History In A Pint: The Forest Through The Trees

Join Superior National Forest Archeologist Lee Johnson for The Forest Through the Trees: A Historical Overview of the Superior National Forest by Lee Johnson, Forest Archaeologist.
Johnson received an undergraduate degree in Anthropology and History from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and a Masters of Anthropology from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. Lee has worked as a biological technician, wildland firefighter, and archaeological technician for the Superior National Forest since 2001, and has served as the Forest Archaeologist since 2012.
Lee’s research interests include all things related to the history of northeastern Minnesota, including the Fur Trade, Ojibwe land use, land management history, historic logging, and mining. Lee lives in Duluth with his wife and two kids.
